Having dental health benefits is one of the most impactful ways you can protect your overall and oral health. You can keep health expenses lower than they would be without coverage and take advantage of preventive care treatments more often. But what if you’re one of the nearly 30 million Americans who do not have dental health benefits coverage through an employer?
At Delta Dental of Washington, we offer a variety of Individual and Family plans for anyone residing in Washington state who does not have coverage through an employer or is seeking additional benefits not covered by an employer. You can enroll in your plan at any time and, since dental benefits tend to be lower cost than medical coverage, they are a great way to take a big step toward protecting your overall health.
Here’s everything you need to know about our Individual and Family plans before you enroll.
Don’t let the name fool you. Individual and Family plans are available to anyone looking for coverage for people enrolling directly with us, and not through their employer. There are six plans in this category with varying benefits and different dental needs in mind. For example, our Plus Ortho Plan is geared towards individuals looking for a plan that covers orthodontia needs such as braces and aligners. There are also some plans that are best for younger families and a few that we recommend specifically for retirees. Dig into the details of each individual plan here.
An Individual and Family plan can be for any individuals and families who don’t have dental coverage through their employer or wish to enroll in coverage themselves for any reason. It serves as a bridge to accessible and affordable dental care, ensuring that you and your family's oral health doesn’t take a backseat to your other health priorities.
