Use Appropriate Pronouns
- Ask patients to provide:
- their pronouns when they fill out their forms or during the intake process
- if they have a preferred name they would like to go by
- Ensure your staff is trained to use proper pronouns and gender-neutral language (like “you all” instead of “you guys”)
