As we’re getting ready for back to school to start, the Tooth fairy has stayed busy all summer long with visiting families and kids all over Washington. In early August our Tooth Fairy Jasmine joined Doppler and other Seattle Mascots for Kid’s Day hosted by the Seattle Storm at Climate Pledge arena. Through Delta Dental of Washington’s partnership with the Seattle Storm, we’re educating more children about why taking care of their young teeth is so important.
The crowd was full of children of all ages attending with their families, camp groups, and various kids’ organizations. The game was high energy and the Tooth Fairy stayed busy the entire game. Before the game started the Tooth Fairy was able to go out into the stands to talk to children attending the game. While discussing healthy brushing and flossing habits, the Tooth Fairy handed out bamboo toothbrushes to the kids.
Joined by the Storm’s mascot, Doppler, Tooth Fairy Jasmine participated in two rounds of t-shirt tossing! She also played mascot bowling and coached the team of mascots in a relay race against kids. While the mascots didn’t win, everyone had a blast!
Since its launch in 2019, as part of Delta Dental’s vision for a cavity-free Washington, the program aims to improve dental health habits at an early age, reduce the incidence of tooth decay and increase the number of kids who regularly visit the dentist.
The Tooth Fairy Experience was developed by Delta Dental of Washington in partnership with Arcora Foundation, School Nurse Organization of Washington and Washington State Dental Association – and is endorsed by the Washington Homeschool Organization. All materials have been dentist, teacher, school nurse and child reviewed.
