Delta Dental of Washington celebrates Pride month in Spokane

Delta Dental of Washington celebrated Pride with Spokane Pride on June 8, 2024! Arriving in style with Tooth Fairies, our Spokane office employees (and some employees who crossed the state to join in!) marched with the Arcora Foundation in the Pride Parade and then passed out giveaways at the Pride Festival.

The Spokane Pride celebration is an all-day event that includes a parade through downtown Spokane and a festival at Riverfront Park with food, music, and activities for families to gather and show their support for inclusion, community, and LGBTQIA+ joy!

During the Parade, Delta Dental and Arcora Foundation employees gave away free rainbow toothbrushes and showcased our support of the LGBTQIA+ community in Spokane and the surrounding areas.

After the parade, Delta Dental of Washington’s Tooth Fairies joined our booth to spread the magic by decorating fairy wings with anyone who wanted one. They were a big hit! Our prize wheel also delivered some amazing Kraken Pride swag along with Seattle Storm gear, as well as Pride-related giveaway items like enamel preferred pronoun pins, flags, and more.

Our mission's core is to help more people gain access to oral healthcare. To make sure we’re reaching as many people as possible, we are also committed to publishing ongoing guides, resources, and articles about how LGBTQIA+ people, specifically, can protect their oral health.

Pride is not just top of mind in June, or about parades and events. Pride is an ongoing movement to create healthy, vibrant, and sustainable communities everywhere. We are honored to be a positive, proud partner in this larger movement.
