Delta Dental of Washington is thrilled to announce that we reached our goal of 90% employee participation in our annual giving campaign. Our employees raised more than $80,000, which will be matched by the organization.
This year, we saw an incredible response from employees who united to support essential community programs for all Washingtonians.
“The Annual Giving Campaign is an opportunity to support causes that matter most to our employees and impact our mission,” said Diane Oakes, Delta Dental of Washington Chief Mission Officer. “While our organization contributes to community impact year-round, this week is the time of the year when we work together as one team to achieve a community impact goal together.”
Our campaign is focused on supporting four impactful community programs that were selected by employees at an all-employee meeting. The top issues identified were housing, food security, domestic violence, and childcare. Not having access to healthy food, safe housing, or family support puts dental visits and good oral health further out of reach for many.
The organizations are:
- American Heart Association: By driving breakthroughs in science, policy and care, the American Heart Association continues to advance health and transform lives every day.
- Bite2Go Second Harvest: Bite2Go is a powerful way for local businesses, faith communities, and families to make a real difference. By adopting a school through Bite2Go, these generous donors provide kids with weekend food packs that are both kid-friendly and easy to use. Delta Dental of Washington is supporting the Colville School District.
- Family Promise of Pierce County: Family Promise of Pierce County is the most effective program to help homeless families because it provides a comprehensive approach to addressing the root causes of homelessness. Family Promise serves as a bridge to stability for families experiencing homelessness by providing shelter, education, and resource navigation through community collaborations.
- Martin Luther King Jr. Family Outreach Center: The Martin Luther King, Jr. Family Outreach Center exists to improve the quality of life for children, youth and families in Spokane through an array of culturally responsive educational and social services within the framework of Dr. King’s vision of equal respect, treatment and accessibility for all people.
- Muslimahs Against Abuse Center: MAAC is dedicated to supporting families, youth, and individuals by providing trauma-informed support, advocacy, and education. Our mission is to create a safe and inclusive environment where individuals can heal, rebuild, and thrive.
- United Way of King County: United Way is working to ensure everyone in our community has access to housing, food security, educational opportunities, and financial stability. They bring the community together to work toward racial justice by supporting our neighbors and transforming inequitable systems.
These programs are united by a common purpose: advancing positive change across Washington. Delta Dental of Washington has offices in Seattle, Spokane, and Colville. In addition to serving people throughout our state, these organizations provide support in the communities where our employees live.

Each contribution plays a critical role in strengthening our communities and moving us closer to a future in which all Washingtonians can thrive.
