Summer break brings all the excitement of freedom and fun, but it also means kids might be slacking on their brushing and flossing. Luckily, Delta Dental of Washington and the Seattle Storm are teaming up to make dental care both cool and educational!
In July, Tooth Fairy Jasmine made a special appearance at Kid’s Day, hosted by the Seattle Storm at Climate Pledge Arena. Before the game kicked off, the Tooth Fairy was on the scene, chatting with families, summer camps, and curious adults about the Tooth Fairy Experience Program and Delta Dental’s dream of a cavity-free Washington.
As fans settled into their seats for the game, Tooth Fairy Jasmine, decked out in her sparkly best, teamed up with the Storm mascot, Doppler, to pass out Oral-B Electric Toothbrushes to a row of lucky kids, handpicked by the Storm! Doppler, Tooth Fairy Jasmine, and the lucky row of kids were showcased on the Delta Dental Smile Cam, encouraging everyone to flash their brightest smiles.
At half time, Tooth Fairy Jasmine played games with Doppler and other mascots from around the region, coming in third at musical chairs! It was a day of dental fun and Storm excitement that left everyone grinning from ear to ear!
Since its launch in 2019, as part of Delta Dental’s vision for a cavity-free Washington, the program aims to improve dental health habits at an early age, reduce the incidence of tooth decay and increase the number of kids who regularly visit the dentist.
The Tooth Fairy Experience was developed by Delta Dental of Washington in partnership with Arcora Foundation, School Nurse Organization of Washington and Washington State Dental Association – and is endorsed by the Washington Homeschool Organization. All materials have been dentist, teacher, school nurse and child reviewed.
