Happy Birthday, National Parks! 4 Washington Wonders to Explore

August 13, 2015
Happy Birthday to some of the most beautiful parks in the nation! August 25th marks the 99th birthday of our National Parks. And, in honor of this monumental celebration, all park admissions are free! Check out these Washington wonders for a smile-worthy and scenic day:

Walk amongst the wildflowers, check out the waterfalls or pitch a tent and stay awhile.

North Cascades

Check out the glacier-covered peaks and bring your camera for some postcard-inspired pictures. If you’re looking for a hike, try the Stehekin River Trail. This riverside hike ends in a secluded swim spot.

There’s something for everyone at Olympic National Park. This one million acre hotspot is ideal for hiking, bicycling, sightseeing and swimming.

San Juan

This historical park was the site of the 1859 feud between the United States and Great Britain. Brush up on your history knowledge while you look for orca whales (seriously). Cheers to our 4 magnificent parks -- you’re only getting better with age!
