Fire Up Your Grill for Healthy Grillz

It’s patio season! May is National Barbecue Month and the perfect time to try new mouthwatering, good-for-you recipes. 

Here are some healthy ideas sure to make your grillz smile: 

Think beyond meat.

Grilled veggies are delicious!  Bok choy, asparagus, and beets are seasonal delights filled with grill-worthy goodness. For a tasty side, try some grilled beets with goat cheese and walnuts

Choose fish for your main dish.

Grill outside the bun with nutritious Chinook salmon or trout.  They’re both in season and Washington’s markets are swimming with good options!  Try some delicious and simple cedar-planked salmon or Tuscan grilled trout

Grill dessert.

When it comes to dessert, keep your grill warm.  Grilled strawberries with balsamic are a seasonal, drool-worthy, waistline-friendly treat.  Kick it up a notch by serving them over some low fat Greek yogurt.
