Floss: Your Smile’s Best Friend

May 06, 2014

Brushing can’t completely clear the debris between your teeth and under your gums. That’s why it’s so important to floss daily.

Flossing is a great, inexpensive way to improve our looks. It helps our smiles look younger. Daily flossing helps us avoid receding gums which are noticeable signs of aging. It’s also the quickest way to remove embarrassing bits of food left in our smiles.

Not only are those bits of food embarrassing, but they’re also unhealthy. Food particles left between our teeth can cause infections which lead to gum disease. Gum disease causes swollen, bleeding gums. It’s also been linked to several health issues such as diabetes, heart disease, and stroke. Cleaning between the teeth with floss at least once a day significantly reduces the potential for oral and overall health infections.

Dental floss may be the most powerful beauty and health product in our medicine cabinets. You can’t beat the health and beauty perks of flossing! Floss each day and your smile will reap the benefits.
