The Tooth Fairy holds up her new book, "The Clean Teeth Club."

The Tooth Fairy Experience Turns 1!

October 22, 2020

Can you believe it’s been one whole year since we launched The Tooth Fairy Experience?! We certainly can’t, but we are beyond excited to celebrate!

Since launching last fall, we’ve reached more than 25,000 children under the age of 10, working with them to form lifelong, healthy oral habits. But we’re ready to do more.

So, for the program’s 1st birthday, we’re celebrating BIG with the release of our brand-new children’s storybook, The Clean Teeth Club.

Read the Book

Locally authored and illustrated by Kelly Rae Bahr and published by Delta Dental of Washington, this original story follows a young boy on his quest to find the perfect club. After successfully completing a series of dental health-related tasks with support from his dentist and the Tooth Fairy, he is welcomed as a member of The Clean Teeth Club.

Along with the release of our book, we’re enhancing The Tooth Fairy Experience program with virtual classroom presentations for K-2 students focused on “Caring For Your Smile” and “Good Nutrition & Healthy Habits.”

The free presentations delivered by our diverse team of tooth fairies include a reading of the book, as well as fun smile facts, proper brushing techniques, tooth-related science experiments, education on healthy food choices, a sugar demonstration, and more! They are offered statewide and can be tailored to the group’s size, grade level, and setting, whether virtual or in-person following all PPE and social distancing guidelines.

But that’s not all!

After each presentation, the Tooth Fairy will gift a copy of the storybook to the teacher as well as a special, tooth-friendly gift for students. With assistance from teachers, educators, and school nurses, each student will receive a Tooth Fairy-branded pencil pouch which includes a dental health kit, a tooth fairy wand pencil, tooth eraser, and two-minute timer so kids can keep track of their two minutes of brushing twice-a-day, all on their own.

If you can’t wait for the virtual presentation, be sure to check out The Tooth Fairy Experience website. It’s chockful of helpful resources for parents and caregivers – peruse our blog for up-to-date dental tips; print dental health activity sheets for your child to use at home; subscribe to our quarterly newsletter, Grin & Grow; request a letter for your child written by the Tooth Fairy herself; or learn more about our Tooth Fairy hotline, where the Tooth Fairy answers some burning tooth-related questions!

We can’t wait to celebrate with you and your family, and we look forward to another year of talking teeth and bringing smiles to children all over Washington.

Educators interested in scheduling a presentation for their students are invited to complete a “Request a Tooth Fairy Visit” form on the program’s website or send an email to Hello@TheToothFairyExperience.com
