February 25, 2016

Who says you need to leave the state to enjoy a good vacation? Washington has everything you need! That’s why we’ve pulled together 3 Northwest destinations you need to visit.

1. Kirkland

If you’re looking for a day trip near Seattle, Kirkland is a great city to explore. With bustling boutiques in the city center and an energetic marina community, this fresh and dreamy suburb will rejuvenate and excite you.

2. Whidbey Island

Found in the lower half of the Salish Sea and in the heart of the Puget Sound, Whidbey Island is a whimsical getaway for any Washington native or convert alike. From the views and hiking trails in Deception Pass State Park, to enjoying oysters on the half shell and shopping in Coupeville, this island is worth the visit.

3. Mt. Vernon

If you’ve always wanted to tip toe through the tulips, then Mt. Vernon should be on your bucket list. The Skagit Valley Tulip Festival near Mt. Vernon has an assortment of art shows, gala celebrations, concerts, and more. If you can’t make it to the festival, which is held April 1-30, there are still plenty of other fantastic activities for you to enjoy!
