Floss like a boss. Your toothbrush doesn’t remove everything. Floss with a threader (found at drug stores) to clean between your teeth and under wires at least once a day.
Choose chocolate when you’re craving something sweet. Sticky treats and hard candies can damage your braces. But chocolate is a soft, delicious option that dissolves quickly—making it the perfect choice.
Think before you chomp. Biting into your food causes it to get stuck in your braces (so embarrassing) and may damage the wires and brackets. So, use a fork and knife to eat foods like pizza, corn on the cob, and apples.
